Work with Held in Regard

Held in Regard is about watches and what they come to mean to us.

I’m Eric, the writer behind it. I explore the watches we choose, wear, keep, and sometimes let go, and the people and experiences that shape those choices. The watch is often the subject, but the human question gives the story its meaning.

If you have a watch, a story, or an idea worth exploring together, I’d like to hear it.

Ways to work together

Stories and conversations

I welcome ideas from collectors, founders, watchmakers, restorers, designers, and people with a watch that has become part of their lives. That might be a conversation about making something, a change in taste, or an object whose meaning has grown over time. You do not need a large collection or a public profile to have a story worth sharing.

An ordinary watch with a personal history belongs here alongside independent watchmaking, vintage pieces, and established brands.

Watch loans and editorial access

Spending time with a watch can reveal things that photographs and specifications cannot. I welcome proposals for editorial loans, conversations with makers, workshop access, and relevant events where there is a story that fits Held in Regard.

Editorial and creative collaborations

I’m interested in working with writers, photographers, publications, and communities whose perspectives could bring something different to a shared story. Interviews, photo essays, and other considered collaborations are welcome starting points.

Have a commercial collaboration in mind? You are welcome to outline that too. Any paid work would be agreed separately and clearly identified.

A sense of the work

How I approach partnerships

Every project begins with a story that fits Held in Regard. Editorial decisions and opinions remain my own.

Loans, gifts, sponsorships, and other relevant commercial relationships are disclosed. A loan or introduction does not guarantee publication or a favorable review.

For agreed collaborations, scope, timing, costs, and usage rights are discussed in advance.

Have something in mind?

For partnership requests, story ideas, or questions, email info@heldinregard.com.

A few lines about who you are, what you have in mind, and any relevant timing are enough to start. If it is a commercial proposal, include the intended use, likely deliverables, and budget if you have one.

You do not need a polished pitch.
